Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's 'Forts & Palaces of Rajasthan Tour'! On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel.
Later proceed on a Combined city tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi
Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 02 : Delhi - Mandawa
After breakfast drive to Mandawa and check in at the hotel.
Visit Mandawa
Afternoon visit Mandawa, founded in 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the home of his descendants. See beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions. Mandawa castle, one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now a hotel and house of collections of armories, costumes of ancestors, canons from 1820, ancient coins, numismatic collection and many other interesting items, preserved in a museum.
A walking tour of the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of the country.

Day 03 : Mandawa - Bikaner
This morning drive down to Bikaner and transfer to hotel. Relax for a while. Later proceed for the sightseeing of Bikaner.
Visit Bikaner
Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. Long before this, the city was a trade center on the caravan routes from Africa and West Asia. Bikaner’s dominant features are rippling sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed by a 7 kms. wall, which can be entered from 5 gates. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. Also visit Lallgarh Palace, the museum, Bhanda Sagar Jain and Deshnoke Rat temple.

Day 04 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer
This morning you will drive to the Pokharan Fort
Visit the Fort
Then continue onward to Jaisalmer- The desert city and check into your hotel.

Day 05 : Jaisalmer
City tour of Jaisalmer
Visit the Gadi Sagar Tank and Patwah-ki-Haveli. Afterwards a walk in the small streets of the old city (haveli's). Tombs by oase (Bada Bagh en Chhatris), Gadisar Lake. Visit the famous forts & Havelies.

Day 06 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
This morning drive to the Jodhpur. Upon arrival at Jodhpur check into your hotel.
City tour of Jodhpur
Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble memorium built in 1899 and the Museum located in the Umaid Public gardens, in the evening a walk in the old city.

Day 07 : Jodhpur - Udaipur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur.
Enroute visit Ranakpur Jain Temples - one of the biggest and the most important cluster of Jain temples in India. Nestled in the Aravalli range.

Day 08 : Udaipur
City tour of Udaipur
Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion ki Bari (Queen resort for her friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk Art Museum), the Winter Palace and the big City Palace with museum, short drive to the tempels of Nagda and to the tempelcomplex of Eklingji (by 6 PM if possible), boat trip: Jagmandir Island.

Boat curise on Lake Pichola 4km long and 3km broad, surrounded by splendid hills, Palaces, temples bathing ghats and embankments.

Day 09 : Udaipur-Jaipur
This morning after breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Jaipur.On arrival at Jaipur and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10 : Jaipur City tour of Jaipur
This morning you will experience the wonders of this magicial pink city, as you proceed on a tour of Amber fort. Later visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glitterning with mirrors, Maharaja's City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur.

Day 11 : Jaipur - Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri : The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience. It a veritable fairytale city and its "ruins" are in pristine condition ... it's not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of it's grandeur. Also visit the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.

Day 12 : Agra - Delhi
City tour of Agra
Visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. Later you will visit a marble gallery - the flagship store in Agra which offers an excellant range of white marble, fashionable wear & exotic wooden articles, truly a one stop shop!
Later, drive to Delhi, enroute visiting Akbar's Tomb at Sikandara. Upon arrival at Delhi transfer to the airport for your onward destinations with sweet and unforgettable memories of ''Forts & Palaces of Rajasthan Tour' escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
